It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of our Kimberton Community Fair Treasurer - Jim Yiaski - on Tuesday, August 7.

2018 marked Jim's 26th year as our Treasurer; but his family had always been involved with our Fair. So Jim truly grew up with the Fair.

Besides doing the books, he was also involved with the fair advertising, sponsorships, preparing grant and state reimbursement reports, managing the office during fair week, and ordering supplies and services for the fairgrounds.

He always kept thorough financial records and was diligent in keeping us on track with our budgets. He was so proud that over the last 25 years the Fair had been able to contribute over $2.7 million to the volunteer Kimberton Fire Co.

Jim truly had a heart for the fair. He proudly wore his Fair shirt every night. In between his duties in the financial office, he enjoyed walking the fairgrounds, visiting the volunteers in the hamburger or hot dog stand, getting his nightly ice cream treat, or checking on the Donut Kitchen. One of his most favorite parts of the fair was scheduling the Phillie Phanatic to come and entertain. He loved getting his photo taken with him every year.

Our fair can attribute much of its success to Jim's perseverance and work ethic. We will miss his dedication and expertise.
